COURSE POLICIES

The following policies apply to all training courses offered by Académie Om, unless otherwise specified. They are designed to maintain high educational standards, ensure fairness to all students, and support the smooth organization of our training programs.

Attendance Policy

Regular attendance is essential to successfully completing your training. Practical skills, particularly in massage therapy, require hands-on experience, instructor supervision, and personalized feedback that cannot be fully replaced by independent study.

Students may miss one practical training day without penalty or additional requirements.

For each additional missed practical training day, a private make-up session is mandatory to validate the training and ensure that all required competencies have been adequately covered.

  • Duration: 90 minutes per additional missed practical training day

  • Rate: $100 per hour ($150 per 90-minute session)

  • Requirement: All mandatory make-up sessions must be completed before a diploma or certificate can be issued.

This policy ensures that every student graduating from Académie Om has demonstrated the knowledge and practical competencies necessary to practise safely, confidently, and professionally.

Refund & Withdrawal Policy

The following policy applies to all training courses offered by Académie Om.

We understand that circumstances can change and that students may need to withdraw from a course.

The following fee helps cover the administrative work involved in managing registrations, cancellations, and refunds, as well as the significant payment processing fees incurred by the school when accepting payments and processing refunds.

Before training begins

Students may cancel their registration before the course begins and receive a full refund less a $50 administrative and transaction fee.

After training begins

Students who withdraw after a course has begun are responsible for:

  • The prorated cost of training already provided, calculated according to the total rate of the training.

  • A cancellation fee equal to the lesser of $50 or 10% of the value of the remaining training.

Any remaining balance already paid will be refunded within 10 days of receiving the student's written cancellation notice.

Example

If a student withdraws after 30% of a $1,000 training program has been provided:

  • Training provided: $300

  • Remaining training value: $700

  • Applicable cancellation fee: $50

  • Total retained: $350

  • Total refund: $650, assuming tuition was paid in full.

Limited Class Sizes

To maintain high educational standards and personalized instruction, our training groups are generally limited in size.

Each registration reserves a place that may become difficult to fill once training begins. We therefore kindly ask students to notify us as early as possible if they need to withdraw.
