Course Description
Part 1: Pathology for Massage Therapists
This essential theoretical course allows massage therapists to deepen their understanding of common pathologies and medical conditions encountered in practice. Through self-directed study of Massage Therapist's Guide to Pathology by Ruth Werner (7th edition), participants will develop critical thinking skills, learn to recognize the signs and symptoms of frequent conditions, and adapt their treatments safely. The course emphasizes the analysis of massage indications and contraindications, as well as collaboration with other healthcare professionals. Flexible and designed for home study, it enables therapists to progress at their own pace while strengthening their clinical skills and professional judgment.
Part 2: Therapeutic Massage for Specific Conditions
This advanced course is designed for massage therapists who wish to refine their approach and develop treatment protocols tailored to specific conditions commonly seen in clinical practice, such as tendinitis, bursitis, sciatica, neck tension, chronic back pain, migraines, and more. Through the study of real-life case scenarios, participants will learn to assess each client's individual needs and adapt their massage techniques accordingly. This course aims to enhance the therapist’s ability to offer focused, effective, safe, and personalized care.
